Due to contractural constraints, and funding, Courtland Dental Centre is Able to offer a Limited Range of Individual NHS treatment Courses.
We endeavour to Offer NHS treatment, within the confines of our nPDS agreement.
Because our NHS capacity is Fixed, but demand for the service fluctuates it is very difficult to predict the availability of the service o na a day to day basis. We advise that if you wish to access NHS care care that you contact the practice for up to date information. Despite our best efforts, we are not always able to offer you an appointment with your usual Dentist, though we do try whenever possible.
It is worthwhile noting that not all treatments are available through NHS care. The most notable of these is Elective Treatment (i.e. Treatment that you choose, as opposed to treatment required to secure oral health) This includes, but is not restricted to Cosmetic Treatments, for example crowns, veneers, white fillings, bridgework to replace missing teeth, and endodontic treatment where its relapse rate is high and extraction of teeth is more appropriate.
Your dentist will be able to advise you of the types of treatment appropriate and the availabilities of these treatment under NHS contract
The Cost of NHS care is fixed by Welsh Assembly Government and currently stands as such
Band 1 £12 Band 2 £39 Band 3 £177 Urgent Treatment £12 Lost appliance £53.10 each.
Please note, if an appointment is missed or cancelled, then the course of treatment may have to be terminated, and you may be liable for a further charge.
